This monograph presents a formational and sementic analysis of Samasa, Taddhita, Tinanto, Kridanata and Nan. In the chapter on Tinanta both the underived and derived stems have been dealt with. The theoretical analyusis is amply substantiated by examplesa culled from firmly established by the prose dialogues of four classical plays - Bhasa's Svapnavasavadatgtam, Kalidasa's Abhijnanashakuntalam, Shudraka's Mricchakatikam and Vishakhadatt's Mudrarakshasham.
