This work forms the first of the two volumes of Sivakarmanidipika, Appayya Dikshita's famous commentary ofn Srikanta's Bhasya on the Brahma Sutra, Shrikanta's Bhashya, it may bementioned, constitutes the interpretation of the ancient Brahma Sutras from the Saiva stand-point. Srikanta Bhasya, with the lucid commentary of Appayya Dikshita, has not been printed before, and the danger was apprehended that in a few years the available Mss. may completely withen away. Though the existing Mss. were mostly motheaten and scattered in isolation and oblivion all over India, the editor resolved to spare no pains in collecting the available Mss. and by printing it.
